Both times I ordered this, I had this exact same experience. Good thing I've put together tons of furniture and toys over the years. I'm sure older people would have a hard time with assembling this. At least it's light to move around without trouble, and blocks SOME light. Does not block the flood lights outside my building, which shine into my living room, but oh well.
